I officially....

DON'T CARE ABOUT TIGER AND HIS STUPID LOVE LIFE!!!

I'm not 'pro-Tiger', and I'm not 'against Tiger'. I don't care what he does with his golf career. I don't care to hear about his marital issues on national TV. I also don't care to hear about how Tiger's business isn't the world's business. (it is - oh by the way - if you're a celebrity) I'm just sick of Mike and Mike in the morning spending their whole show on Tiger. Yes, I'd RATHER hear about how my Steelers suck and how my Tarheels lose. Seriously!

heels, rock & scrubs. Oh, and I suck...

..at keeping this blog dealy updated! I'd really like to make some claim about how I'm going to work harder at it...but I'm having commitment issues at the moment, so I can't.

What can I say today? Well, how about them Tarheels?! Go Blue!

This week Lisa and I are going to get our Christmas tree. We are possibly going to be cutting it down ourselves....but we'll see. It all depends on the variety of tree and such - but I'll be sure to post pictures of our tree experience.

Lately I've been watching 30 Rock. I haven't followed the show to date....but after numerous people have recommended it to me, I've begun the journey of catching up. I love it!! In other (awesome) news....Scrubs has made it's return to TV!! Which is pretty much some of the best news in the world right now. I can't even begin to express the immense happiness that Scrubs brings to my life. However, I'm fully aware that it's new direction/cast/vision/whatever may not hold my attention for the long term....but I'll take what I can get.

Now, if we can just get them to bring back Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip, all would be right with Eric World.

Hope Cafe

Ok all...I seriously have lost track of this blog. And I have just about as many excuses as there are days that have gone by without me posting. On top of that, I'm not even going to really blog right now, I'm just blogging to tell you that I'm sorry. And the reason I've been so busy is centered around a new church re-plant that I've been involved with. I know Lisa is going to blog more fully on the topic of Hope Cafe in a few days (now she has to, cuz I put it in writing), so I won't go into the details. Enjoy the pictures...one is from this past Saturday night in the Cafe - the place was rocking. One is from when Lisa played there the previous weekend. One is of the Steelers winning there only game of the season so far (don't even get me started on that!). One is of the crowd during our Biggest Loser premier party where we had one of Biggest Loser contestants at the cafe hanging out, signing autographs and stuff. And one is of an espresso drink prepared by one of my baristas...she did great. You can check out some videos at http://www.YouTube.com/hopecaferaleigh - We'll talk soon!

Milking the Cows

Jamie and I assisted in the morning chores in Norwich....which
included milking cows. We got right in there, cleaned and primed the
teets, and attached the milk suckers. Hopefully Gretchen will post
some better pictures on her blog.

North Carolina BBQ

For those who know me, you know I've always had home-state pride for 'The Promised Land' state of North Carolina - even though until recently I've never had a permanent residency in said Promised Land.  But now I do - and that pride is getter deeper and richer every single day.  One of the things North Carolinians are very very very proud of, is our BBQ.  (and our rednecks - this is the Nascar state after all)  So - watch this little video and enjoy!

The Proposal - Two Thumbs Up

Here is what the little synopsis that's been posted for this movie says:

"A book editor is forced to marry her male assistant in order to stay in the country. When they travel to Alaska to meet his family, the new couple has to fake their way through a surprise wedding thrown by his parents."

Well, Lisa and I were blessed enough this evening to find ourselves with free passes to a pre-showing of this movie.  I assume that means it opens tomorrow.  Honestly, this is normally one of those movies that would have flown under my radar for months after it was out at Redbox - until that one fateful evening where my number 1 movie choice wasn't available, and my number 2 movie choice wasn't available....and so I just happened to click on this fella due to the fact that I really liked Ryan Reynolds in Definitely, Maybe and that I really like Sandra Bullock in almost everything.  But instead, I saw it on the big, big screen.  And I loved it!  I haven't laughed that hard at a movie in quite a while.  I mean - let's be honest with ourselves - when we see Ryan Reynolds in a movie.....we know what character he's going to play.  And the same is true with Sandra Bullock.  I think the genius of this film was putting those two characters together and letting Sandra be fuel for Ryan.   That, combined with Oscar (from The Office) playing a role....ummmm.....I mean....playing roles (I won't spoil this for you!) like you'd never expect from him.  So - to sum up why I came home and cracked open the laptop to update a blog I haven't posted on in quite some time: If you're looking to watch a film this weekend....take a chance on this one.  I don't think you'll be disappointed.  And make sure you watch the credits - don't jump the gun and leave too early!
